Castlebar Celtic Weekly Lotto 27/08/2004 THERE WAS no winner of the Castlebar Celtic Lotto this week. The numbers drawn were 13, 15, and 17. The jackpot now stands at €2,600.
The €10 winners were David Breen, Castlebar Swimming Club, Ann Ludden, Heno c/o Gers, and M L Staunton c/o An Post. Next weeks draw will take place on Thursday night (2nd September) in The Brown Cow, Rush Street.
Two Celtic Players Involved In Final U-14 Irish Trials 27/08/2004 DAVID JOYCE and Eoin Torphy will be involved in the final U-14 Irish trials which are being held over the coming weeks. David is just back after a successful weekend with the Irish U-14 set up. Eoin who is just back from injury, will also be involved during the next couple of week. Best of luck to the two lads.
Congrats To Tom King On His Recent Manchester City Trial 27/08/2004 TOM KING had a very successful trip with Manchester City in Switzerland last month. Tom travelled with the club's U-15 team to take part in an international tournament. He played in midfield for all three of City's games and scored a brilliant goal in the second game, as well as being involved in setting a number of goals in the other games. Tom has been asked back in October for further trials.
B Team Take On Swinford 26/08/2004 CASTLEBAR CELTIC B play their last away game of the season against Swinford F.C. on Sunday morning at 11.30 PM. This is an important game for Swinford, as they need to win to have a chance of winning the Premier Division. If the B team win their last two games they will finish in third position.
tsb Permanent Super League 25/08/2004 Conn Ranger 0 - 10 Castlebar Celtic THIS GAME was over at half-time as Celtic went in at the break seven goals clear. For Rangers, it puts them nearer the drop zone and with an awful lot of work to do if they hope to avoid relegation. more>>>

Flag Day Thank You 24/08/2004 CASTLEBAR CELTIC Youth Club would like to thank the people of Castlebar for the generous support of our flag day last Saturday. The club would also like to thank all the people who collected on the day.
Celtic C Take On Inver United 24/08/2004 CASTLEBAR CELTIC C had an outstanding victory over local rivals Snugboro United on Saturday evening and guarantees second position in Division 2A. They now play Inver United away in the last game of the season in a championship decider. This game was due to played next Sunday 29th, but has been postponed until Sunday 5th Sep at 11.30 AM.
Welcome Inn Hotel Division 2A 24/08/2004 Castlebar Celtic C 3 - 0 Snugboro United B THIS LOCAL derby lived up to its billing as both teams gave it their all last Saturday evening in Celtic Park. Celtic had to make two changes from the team that defeated Ballyheane B and Castlebar United in their last two games. more>>>
Celtic A Fixture Re-Scheduled 22/08/2004 THE CASTLEBAR CELTIC A game against Glenhest Rovers has been moved to Sunday 29th August at 3 PM in Celtic Park. This is must win game for both teams, but for different reasons. Celtic need the points to keep the pressure on league leaders Westport United, while Glenhest need the win to avoid relegation.
Welcome Inn Hotel Premier Division 20/08/2004 Castlebar Celtic B 4 - 1 Ballyglass AFTER A recent poor run of results, Castlebar Celtic B got back to winning ways in this home encounter against Ballyglass. Celtic found the net with four superbly taken goals in what was a highly entertaining game. more>>>
Castlebar Celtic A in Emphatic Win 20/08/2004 CASTLEBAR CELTIC A had a commanding 10-0 win away to Conn Rangers last night (19th August) in the permanent tsb Super League. With two games remaining they are one point behind new league leaders Westport United. Full report to follow.
Celtic C In Winner Takes All Clash 19/08/2004 WITH THE A and B teams not playing at the weekend, all the attention will be on the C team clash with neighbours Snugboro United on Saturday evening at 7pm in Celtic Park. Castlebar Celtic C are in second place in the league with Snugboro just one point behind. With just two games remaining the winner's will at the very least finish in second place and have an opportunity to gain promotion to Division 1. Manager Brian Healy has a full strength squad to pick from. We wish the team the best of luck.
Celtic Draw Westport United In AIB Cup Semi-Final 19/08/2004 CASTLEBAR CELTIC A have been draw against their great rivals Westport United in the semi-final of the Mayo AIB Cup. Celtic have home advantage and the game takes place on Sunday 5th September. This game should draw a large crowd to see two of the top teams in Mayo at present. More details on the tie nearer to the date.

We are asking that you would give 2 hours to collect at one of the many collecting points. Welcome Inn Hotel Division 2A 17/08/2004 Castlebar United 1 - 4 Castlebar Celtic C CASTLEBAR CELTIC C held on to second spot in Mayo Division 2A, after a comfortable 4-1 victory over local rivals Castlebar United in Moneen. Celtic were in control of the game from the very start and were 2-0 up after 10 minutes with two well taken goals from strikers Ian Burke and Jamie Carr. more>>>

Castlebar Celtic A in Five-Star Performance 06/08/2004 CELTIC CONTINUED their recent fine form with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Ballyheane in Celtic Park last night. Goals from Eamon Crean, Russell Gibbons, Sean Reilly, Dara Ainsworth, and Ronan O' Boyle sealed the victory after Ballyheane had taken the lead through Greg Flynn. Full report to follow.
